At easyHotel, growth happens when people are encouraged to learn, develop and take on new opportunities. For Alejandro Arantegui, his promotion to Assistant Hotel Manager in Brussels, has given him the chance to build new skills while staying close to the people and routines that make the hotel feel alive each day. 

 

What excites Alejandro most is seeing the hotel from a wider perspective. Working side by side with reception, housekeeping and maintenance has given him a deeper appreciation for how each team supports the guest experience. His early lessons feel simple but important: clear communication helps everyone move together, flexibility keeps the day flowing even when plans change and a supported team creates the warmth guests feel when they walk through the door. 

 

Alejandro also shared an insight into what a typical day looks like in his role. Key moments include: 

 

  • Managing emails and actioning internal updates 

  • Reviewing essential stock with the team 

  • Overseeing and responding to guest reviews and taking action when needed 

  • Coordinating with reception, housekeeping and maintenance 

  • Supporting the monthly schedule and team needs 

  • Keeping the lobby welcoming, including tending to the plants, which he says is one of the small joys of the job
