A new low-carbon seat landing in Shoreditch

Landing in our Shoreditch hotel is a new, low-carbon collaboration with easyJet. We’ve repurposed an old sofa and given it a fresh look with easyJet seat covers that have reached the end of their aircraft life but have now found new life on the ground at easyHotel. Once stripped from the plane, the covers are dry-cleaned, any damages cut from the fabric, and then reupholstered onto a second-hand sofa. This collaboration is not only a good link between two easy brands but also a great low-carbon initiative, using materials that would otherwise go to waste.

Guests can now enjoy this one-of-a-kind sofa while they wait in our reception area. It’s a fun and interesting addition, and if it’s a hit, we’re planning to roll out more of these innovative pieces as and when we update hotel receptions.
