Hitting a milestone on Social Media

We just reached 10,000 followers on Instagram, marking an exciting milestone for easyHotel’s growing online community. To celebrate, we spoke with Maddie, our Social Media and Content Manager, about the strategy behind the growth and how she has been helping to build a stronger, more consistent presence across our social channels.
Since January, Maddie has rolled out a new social media strategy focused on regular, platform-specific content. We are now sharing at least three posts a week across Instagram and Facebook, four posts a month on LinkedIn, and, since launching TikTok in March 2026, at least three posts a week there too. This has helped us become more consistent, creative and trend-led in how we show up online.
The results have been fantastic. In the first six months of 2026, our social channels generated more than 3.9 million impressions, a 2,200% increase compared to the same period 2025. Instagram has seen particularly strong growth, with followers up by 1,140%.
Maddie has also supported key campaigns through influencer collaborations, including the Tunnock’s PR campaign and the Croydon refurbishment. These partnerships have helped elevate our marketing activity, introduce easyHotel to new audiences and bring in more authentic voices from different communities and content spaces.
One of the biggest developments this year has been the introduction of our Social Media Ambassador programme. Piloted across four locations, the trial has helped us capture a more authentic, on-the-ground view of our hotels through employee-generated content. As we continue expanding the programme, we’re looking for more colleagues to get involved, so if you’d like to become an ambassador, please reach out to Maddie.
