Guest Comfort Roll Out and Trials

Guest comfort continues to be a big priority for us. Over the past few months, we’ve made several improvements across our hotels to help guests enjoy a better stay. Some of these changes may seem small, but getting the basics right can make a real difference.

One of the Comfort Committee’s first projects was making sure toilet brushes are available across all our hotels. While most rooms already had them, they were missing from some hotels in the UK and Ireland. The rollout is now complete, helping us offer a more consistent experience across the estate.

We’ve also introduced our new 11:00 check-out time, giving guests an extra hour and a more relaxed start to their departure day. Early feedback has been positive, and the change is another way we’re making our stays easier and more comfortable.

New music systems have now been delivered to our hotels and will be installed over the coming weeks. They’ll bring background music to reception and communal areas, helping to create a warmer and more welcoming atmosphere for guests and team members.

We’re also testing new ideas before deciding whether to roll them out more widely. Hairdryers are currently being trialled at selected hotels, and we’re keeping a close eye on guest feedback and equipment loss rates.

Across the UK, we’ve been rolling out new pillows with a thicker, more premium feel. Pillows are regularly mentioned in guest reviews as an area where we can improve, so we hope the new design will help guests get a better night’s sleep. We’re also exploring suitable options for our EU hotels.

Guest feedback has helped us identify another opportunity: our in-room workspaces. Reviews suggest that the V4 desks found in Marseille, Madrid, Barcelona La Sagrera, Valencia and Alicante can feel too small, particularly for guests who need to work during their stay.

We’ll soon be testing a larger desk at easyHotel Madrid Alcalá, along with a chair featuring a backrest to replace the current stool. The trial will help us see whether the new setup offers guests a more comfortable and practical place to work.

These are just some of the projects underway to make our hotels more comfortable. We’ll share more updates and the results of our trials in future newsletters.
