Our Maintenance Team in the Netherlands has had a strong few months, and their work is making a real difference to the guest experience. With a technician now in every hotel, supported by solid training and teamwork, disruptions for guests are noticeably lower than in previous years. The team has also taken on wider projects, showing real flexibility and collaboration.

Ricardo and Wim are great examples of this. While Zaandam was without a technician, they stepped in to provide regular support and completed a full re-caulking of all rooms. Since Loris joined Zaandam in August, he and Ricardo have become a strong duo for projects across the Amsterdam region, including cleaning all filters in just one and a half days. Their ability to cover for each other has kept things running smoothly.

There has been a lot going on around The Hague City Centre with Marcel, (Maintenance Technician) close to celebrating seven years with easyHotel, while colleagues like (Maintenance Technician at Scheveningen), Olivier (Maintenance Supervisor), and Boyan (Maintenance & Health & Safety Manager), recently supported an office move for the BENELUX support office from an office in the city to an office that already exists in The Hague City Centre hotel.

In January, the full team will come together for a day of training and planning for 2026. With the progress made this year and the right people in place, the team is well set to take on even more work in-house in the year ahead.
