Stepping Up: Alvaro, Toqeer and Kay’s Journeys

At easyHotel, we’re proud of colleagues who take that extra step to grow, lead and make a difference. This month, we’re celebrating some of our people who are doing just that.   

Alvaro and Toqeer, two of our UK Hotel Managers have recently started their Level 5 Operations Manager apprenticeships with SR Apprenticeships and Kay, our Financial Controller for UK and Corporate has recently expanded her remit to include Spain. 

Through the apprenticeship Alvaro and Toqeer are building their skills in leadership, project management and strategy, while applying what they learn directly in their hotels. 

Alvaro joined easyHotel in 2022 and has quickly progressed into Hotel Management, now focused on strengthening his operational and leadership skills. Toqeer, with more than ten years in hospitality and five years of growth at easyHotel, is using the programme to expand his leadership experience and take on new challenges. 

Kay, joined our UK finance team in 2023.  She has grown in confidence and gained new skills over the past two years and has now taken on an expanded role in October 2025, which includes control of our newest openings in Spain. This is an exciting opportunity for Kay and showcases the opportunities easyHotel presents for career development. 

Their drive to keep developing shows the ambition and energy that help easyHotel move forward together.
