Unlocking new possibilities: Apple Wallet room keys arrive in London and Paris

Earlier this year, our team at easyHotel London City Shoreditch became one of the first hotels in the UK to offer digital room keys in Apple Wallet. Now, easyHotel Paris Aubervilliers has joined them, making us one of the first in France too. 

This is more than a tech update. It’s a pilot that will be felt in our hotels every day, from reception teams having more time to focus on guests, to housekeeping dealing with fewer lost keycards, to managers finding operations simpler. 

Why it matters: 

• Less hassle – no more plastic keycards to manage 

• Safer for guests – the same encryption used in Apple Pay 

• Smarter – doors can still be unlocked for up to five hours, even when an iPhone runs out of battery 

Right now, the Apple Wallet key is live only in Shoreditch and Aubervilliers as part of our pilot. It’s an exciting first step, and we’ll keep you posted as the trial continues.
